* BIOGRAPHY *

The BRONX group was founded in 1995 in Wojkowice (Silesian province) by Mark Wcislo - the guitarist. In November of 1995 the BRONX recorded 3 compositions in professional studio in Katowice (MUSIC PROJEKT STUDIO). With regard to the change of the drummer it was necessary to use a percussive machine while recording a tape. The stuff wasn't promoted because it didn't reflect the type of music performed currently by the band. Therefore in September of 1998 in the private, amateur studio, the BRONX recorded another demo tape called "…abbreviation…", witch was preceded by the promo record consisting of 2 compositions from the demo tape. The "…abbreviation…" record has kicked off the musical drift followed by the band since

The band draws the inspiration from the musical genus that's progressive rock. The BRONX gave a lot of concerts in the province of Silesia; among others, as a support for ACID DRINKERS in 1996 and Y2K. The group was qualified for and got very warm welcoming on the festivals:

- Mayday rock festival in Glogow in 1999
- Metal millennium festival in Cracow in 1999
- Rock backyards in Plock in Y2K

This last one may be considered as the biggest success made by the band (first prize). The group can be proud of a great deal of flattering reviews that can be found in professional musical periodicals (such as "Estrada & Studio" or "Metal Hammer"). Performances given by the BRONX characterize with a very high workshop level, what draws major attention of the public. Music played by the band is mainly progressive rock with elements of heavy metal and hard rock. Present "visiting - card" of the group is the material recorded in professional studio in 1999/2000 called "(…), i.e.". It consists of 5 compositions, including 2 from "abbreviation" demo - recorded in new versions. In December of Y2K, the band was qualified for 4 Polish revives:

- Rawa 2000 in Rawa Mazowiecka
- Spasm in Kalisz
- Gitariada in Aleksandrow Kujawski
- Amateur Group Review in Siemianowice Sl.

In 2001 the group performed on 5 festivals also as a laureate:

- Rawa 2001 in Rawa Mazowiecka
- Rock backyards in Plock

and in competitive parts of:

- IV Polish Rock Festival in Andrychow
- Open Musical Scene - semi - finals in Siemianowice Sl.
- The review " Garage playing" in Tychy

Currently, members of the band are working on the new material.
